FAQ: What is Subluxation?
Vertebral Subluxation is a condition in which one or more spinal bones misalign, locks out of place, and alters nerve flow. This most often occurs in the neck, lower back, or in the tailbone/hips.
The bones in your spine come together at two small joints and a spinal disc, which all keep the spine lined up while still allowing each spinal bone to independently move. Subluxation is caused by a shift in the alignment of one or more of these small joints or spinal discs that allows for the spinal bones to move out of alignment and lock in that misaligned position.
The most common ways to subluxate your spine are, physical trauma (like a car accident), emotional stress, and chemical stress (from over the counter and prescribed medicine.)
Dr. Cynthia will asses your body during your appointment. She will work on your subluxations with a series of spinal adjustments over time, complimented by muscle re-education and lifestyle changes..
