“Your body is not a coffin for pain to be buried in.”
You gotta resurrect the deep pain within you and give it a place to live that’s not within your body. Let it live in art. Let it live in writing. Let it live in music. Let it be devoured by building brighter connections. Your body is not a coffin for pain to be buried in. Put it somewhere else.

Today is National Day of Persons with Disabilities
Today is National Day of Persons with Disabilities. What does this day mean? Why do we celebrate it? What is the best way to help and support? Well I’m glad you asked!
The annual observance of the International Day of Disabled Persons was proclaimed in 1992, by the United Nations General Assembly resolution 47/3. The observance of the Day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.
The main programme of the observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities at the UN Headquarters in New York will include panel discussions and cultural events. The UN’s theme for 2021 is “Leadership and participation of persons with disabilities toward an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post-COVID-19 world.”
The best ways to help is to advocate for accessibility in your communities. This can include but is not limited to, more wheelchair accessibility, elevators, more available seating and so much more.
How will you help your community?

Let’s talked about EDS!
Something Dr. Cynthia has seen in many patients is hyper-mobility. This is the ability of a persons joints to go further than they should.
There is a difference between just hyper-mobility and having Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, but that is one of the key signs that patients should look further.
In the world of chiropractic, many practitioners aren’t as experienced as others with conditions like this. Patients really require a trained hand to be adjusted to a point of helping and not so much it hurts the patient.
If this is something you feel worried about, this might be a great chance to come in for your next appointment and chat with Dr. Cynthia about what is best for you.
